Internationational commpetition in the air
One of my favorite cuts from the 'Crest of a knave' CD. Steel Monkey and Farm on the Freeway. ... *What a great CD Ian!*
Once again I saw then in Ftw Tx. My grandson saw them on the tv and he wanted to play the flute. Yes I bought it for him
Badass Aqualung =Vietnam War
Interesting that he uses a Shure 57. Those are snare drum hi hat mikes.
One of the more consistently brilliant songwriters over the years. Never stopped making solid albums.
Ian Anderson hatte eine großartige Stimme
un grand moment de la musique !!!!!!!!!
Bravo!!!
I was born in 1957, so Tull was in their prime when I was growing up, yet for some reason I was never a fan. Saw all the big ones from the day, Zep, Floyd, the Who and on and on. Boy did I miss the boat. These guys were great! Such complex arrangements and beautiful music. Not to mention what a great character Ian is.
At age 66 I've been trying to repeat my stereo that I brought back from overseas in 1977. Can't really afford a Marantz 2330 or a set of JBL l166 I have managed a set of JBL l36 and a old school Fisher 100 watts per Channel unit my dual 606 it's probably closed to my 12:28 sound quality wise. I'm dying from colon cancer so I need to get this system as close as possible so I can listen to all 20 of my Jethro Tull albums back to back to back to back to back before I die. Can't really say which one is my favorite if there is such a thing when it comes to Jethro Tull could be thick as a brick could be Passion Play could be Minstrel in the gallery. They're all great. I hate to say this but I think it's well known that Ian Anderson was and is Jethro Tull the old world sound is mesmerizing I would often listen to Jethro Tull and picture little thatched roof buildings with villagers dancing around kind of like the early part of the movie Braveheart. You can't compare Jethro Tull to anyone else the music is a genre unto itself from time to time it fits into specific genres but as a whole the music stands on its own. God love Ian Anderson I understand he's had some health issues lately cancer just like me what do you know
Love the way he uses his eyes to match his flute playing. Almost like his eyes are a light show.
BEST BAND...EVER!!
amazing
Beautiful. Can not get any tighter. TULL RULES!
Love that 5/4...❤
I've always heaped praise on Ian Anderson but don't forget the brilliant Martin Barre.🏴🏴🏴🏴😊☮️⭐👍🏴🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🤠
Where can I get a pair of those fucking tights?
There's Waldo!
I saw them in Eugene,Or. 40th anniversary of aqualung .....but in Oakland song from the wood tour....won a record on KSAN.
A master piece.
Lip sync😂
Do you think he knew what he was doing when he wrote this? As soon as it starts, I am hurtled back to the 70's. For me it's palpable as with no other song.
Theatrical performance backed up with sheer musical talent. We will probably never see the likes again.
I'm only 52 but my step-dad allowed me to listen to this album as a young man and I still love it to this day
I first heard Jethro Tull in 1969, " Stand Up " on this first album. I loved the album covers' artwork with all band members emblazoned in caricature. The whole effect of the album cover, the song " Living in the Past " and Jethro Tulls' namesake, had all an ' agricultural theme '! It is now '71-'72 and Jethro Tull is in Town to play their 1st concert in NZ. My 1st XV Captain and I went to see the Show and more than a Concert. The band rips into their routine as Ian Anderson, as if in the Braveheart castings, flute in hand, hitherto piercing the air about Him. The Pianist, whose name I think is Evans, on cue, saddles upon His stool, abouturn smiles, and began to play. Then in synchronised whole the Town Hall is bathed in a spectacular ' strobes ' flickering lightshow, buzzing. To further enhance the theatrics, the Pianist, climb atop, sit to face forward whilst punctuating the ivory with both His feet. It was an evening of magic and pleasant ' Living in the Past ' then, and ' Now '. Para te 'ika o Tangaroa. fish...
This man was a poster child Liberal guaranteed he would be conservative today Liberal like the middle class is destroyed by communist
Some songs they do in concerts are real good but some they change it so much they're not the greatest and sometimes it actually sucks...
Shining brilliant❤
Where can i get some of those outfits?
I knew Id come to comments and everyone would be falling all over themselves saying how incredible and under-rated he was on guitar. Sorry but not really. That type of pentatonic noodling would never pass muster these days and barely did it then.
This band always had great tunes, and very awesome dynamics.❤
And all those incredible body mives.. surpassing Pete Townsend's. .
nice animation lots of work put in this for sure
Musica excepcional que no todos entienden 👍🏿👍🏿
The best frontman ever! 😎
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ian is the classist musician, I ever met. In Tucson 1978 we sat and talked. shared a joint. As he was leaving to start the concert, he turned and gave me one of his joints. I should have saved it retrospectively.
Greatest Sound ever....
✌🏽

What a performance
Jethro Tull is up there with the giants. They will never get old or out of fashion. On the contrary. And Ian is one of the great ones. His musical genius will live on for many generations to come.
Ah great song
